Bibek Bhandari

IT Graduate · ICT Research Student · Developer

Hi! I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Information Technology from Swinburne University, and I'm now continuing into ICT research. I love taking ideas from a whiteboard scribble to working software, and lately I've been spending a lot of time reading papers and experimenting with new tools.

When I'm not coding or studying, you'll usually find me reading about security, watching tech talks, or hunting for a good cup of coffee.

My journey

2026 — present

ICT Research Student

Swinburne University of Technology

Diving deeper into research methodology, exploring topics across networks, security, and applied AI. Working on independent research projects under faculty guidance.

2026 · April

Graduated — Bachelor of Information Technology

Swinburne University of Technology

Walked the stage, capstone shipped, three years of late-night labs in the rear-view. Already itching to keep learning.

2025 · semester 2

Capstone Project — SwinTrack

Swinburne · final-year team project

Led the front-end on a four-person capstone — a real-time student task tracker. First time owning a feature end-to-end with code review, sprints, and a real client demo.

2022

Moved to Melbourne

Australia

Big move — new country, new city, new language for some of it. Took a while to feel at home. Worth it.

Beyond code

I think the best engineers are also curious humans. I enjoy hiking, photography, reading non-fiction, and the occasional weekend coding-jam where the goal is "ship something tiny by Sunday."
